Porsche Taycan Australian Pricing updated with two new entry level models of the electric sports car now available

Simply called “Taycan” a new entry-level Porsche electric car is now available for Aussie buyers with a sticker price at a mouth-watering yet not staggering $156,300.

Porsche Australia has delivered 326 Taycan’s to Aussie buyers in just the few months it’s been available, making it easily one of the most successful EVs in Australia. Tesla don’t report numbers, the MG ZS isn’t broken out as an EV only option, and the Ioniq, ECQ and e-tron all have less sales by a long way than the luxury sports EV from Porsche.

Expect those numbers to keep growing as Porsche transitions it’s owners to one of the most respected EV platforms in the market by adding two new models to the lineup.

Reducing the starting price of the Taycan range by almost $40,000, Porsche has introduced a new rear-wheel-drive Taycan and a Cross Turismo variant of all four models in the lineup.

The standard RWD Taycan joins the Turbo, Turbo S and 4S with a host of options and standard equipment changing on the range too.

Taycan has two battery options with the Performance Battery plus pack pushing output to 350kW from 300, and 357Nm of torque from 345 Nm.

Your $156,300 Taycan goes 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds in both battery configurations.

Range will be 369 with the standard battery, or 434 with the Performance Battery Plus. All that adds a $12,000 jump to the price tag too. But, no matter your choice, there’s three years of Chargefox charging included too.

At the same time Porsche is updating a bunch of specifications across the Taycan range as part of the model refresh.

Things like Head Up display as standard in the existing models, Traffic Jam assist and Power Steering Plus also standard.

Plus, Android Auto is now standard too.
