Belkin adds range of Magnetic Attach products for iPhone 12 users

Apple’s MagSafe on iPhone 12 hasn’t really hit its strides yet in terms of overall usage and accessory growth but Belkin is coming out hard with a range of MagSafe compatible products for your iPhone 12 at home, on the go or wherever you are.

Now, straight out of the box, I’m going to clarify something that might lead to a bit of confusion around MagSafe accessories. There’s a difference between “Made for MagSafe” and things that are “MagSafe Compatible“.

You’ll certainly notice a price difference. Made for MagSafe is Apple’s certification program for products. Those need to be rigorously tested by Apple and be optimised for iPhone 12 with charging up to 15W.

With MagSafe compatible products you don’t have the official MagSafe technology inside (Magnetic array may be different, less magnets etc) and won’t charge higher than 7.5W. That’s not to say they lack anything in quality – they just aren’t to the higher bar that Apple sets.

Belkin has Made for MagSafe products, we love them:) This new range compliments that and branches out even further.

Jamie Laing Reece from Belkin Australia says “Belkin is known for its people inspired products. Now more than ever, we’re trying to connect people in every way we can to the people and experiences they love,”

“We are proud to hold the number 1 position in the market in the wireless charging category, and the impressive charging products within this new range are representative of our next iteration of innovation in this category. We’re excited to bring this new ecosystem of accessories designed for iPhone 1, so people can live, work, move and play easily in their everyday.”

Charging at Home with MagSafe

BOOST↑CHARGE Magnetic Portable Wireless Charger Pad – RRP $59.95

This is simple but effective and the key to this unit is the 2m long cable. Plug it in bedside and manage your late-night scrolling while charging, or just have it ready to go anywahere.

BOOST↑CHARGE Magnetic Wireless Charger Stand – RRP $69.95

Affordable and easy to use, a great stand for the bedside, loungeroom or desk at work.

Charging on the go with Belkin

These products follow Apple’s own MagSafe battery launch yesterday, though they hit a much more pleasing price point for buyers.

BOOST↑CHARGE Magnetic Portable Wireless Charger – RRP $79.95

This is WAY more than just a power brick. It’s huge. The size of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, but compatible with the while iPhone 12 range.

10,000 mAh will keep you going for a long, long time.

BOOST↑CHARGE™ Magnetic Wireless Power Bank – RRP $59.95

Smaller, simpler, less power on board, this is a simple snap and go wireless charger.

Charging on the move with Belkin MagSafe compatible

Magnetic Fitness Phone Mount – RRP $49.95

While I see this as working on bikes or whatever you think – I’d want a VERY good MagSafe compatible CASE for my phone too.

Perhaps better to think of it as a static mount, on your treadmill or excercise bike?

Mine has found a perfect home on my Playseat Race simulator🙂

Magnetic Car Vent Mount – RRP $54.95

The trusty car-vent mount, if it works in your car – will keep you charged and able to see the important info legally on your phone

Face-Tracking phone stand

Magnetic Phone Mount with Face Tracking – RRP $79.95

This is cool – with your phone snapped into place with MagSafe, the phone is ready to shoot photos in portrait or landscape mode. Using the Belkin app to recognise faces, this is great for doing photos, videos or even live streams. We’ll have a review of that one soon!

You’ll find all these products over the next few weeks at Belkin Online, JB HiFi, Harvey Norman and many more.
