Robot Wars: Roborock launches their most advanced Robot Vacuum

There really must be demand for high-priced robot vacuums if the market can sustain multiple models competing head to head in the plus $2,000 price range, and that’s proven today with the launch of the Roborock S7 Max V Ultra.

It’s by no means cheap, launching at $2,699 the Roborock S7 Max V Ultra has an auto-empty station that gives you a hands free cleaning approach for weeks.

On top of the station is a dust-bin, fresh water and dirty water tank. This means the robot can empty itself, refill the mopping water tank, and clean the mop storing the dirty water for you to empty now and then.

If this all sounds familiar, that’s because those are the same features in the Ecovacs X1 Omni we reviewed a couple of months ago.

Now we haven’t yet seen the roborock S7 Max V Ultra, the launch was on Hayman Island in the Whitsundays, but we’ll give it a crack some time soon. However, it would be hard to top the X1 Omni.

Ecovacs product is a lower price, and to our eyes the mopping system is far more advanced, but we’ll check that out when we can.

As far as features go, this ticks a stack of boxes. All the auto-empty stuff, a 300sqm coverage potential and a 5100pa suction power which is quite possibly class leading.

Full mapping capabilities via an app, video monitoring and a fast-charging battery.

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra goes on sale today at Harvey Norman, Bing Lee and Godfreys.

We’ll take a close look at the device when we get hands on with it and see how it stacks up to the X1 Omni from Ecovacs which would have to be seen as the industry leader in this space.
