It’s been a busy few days at CES, ASUS have unveiled their ROG gaming line, Consumer line and even a few surprises, and they’ve also unveiled their latest business series ExpertBook laptops and TUF Gaming devices.
The new range of TUF gaming devices includes the new TUF Gaming A16 and F16 laptops, as well as some upgrades to the 2023 TUF Gaming A15 laptop. The TUF Series laptops are MIL-Spec (MIL-STD-810H) rated across the board and offer high-refresh rate displays and the latest Intel and AMD processors with NVIDIA graphics.
The TUF series includes the new ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (2024) and TUF Gaming F16 (2024) with the major difference the CPU on-board.
The TUF Gaming A16 will be powered by up to an Intel Core i9-14900HX, while the TUF Gaming F16 (2024) will be powered by an Ryzen 9 7845HX Processor with both systems available with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4070.
Both the TUF Gaming F16 and A16 will feature a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 165 Hz refresh rate, with either FHD or 2.5K resolution IPS display options.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2024) and TUF Gaming A16 (2024) will be available in two colours, Jaeger Grey or Mecha Grey.
The TUF Gaming F15/17 and TUF Gaming A15/A17 will feature either Intel or AMD processors, with the F15/17 using up to Intel Core i9 processor 13900H CPUs, while the TUF Gaming A15/A17 will use up to an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor.
The systems will be available with up to the latest GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPU, with displays capable of delivering frame rates at 1440p. ASUS have advised that all 2024 models now include a MUX Switch, as well as coming with an empty M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD slot for easy updates to storage.
While the gaming devices are fun, ASUS are also unveiling their 2024 business devices with a new ExpertBook B5 and ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus announced, alongside the ASUS ExpertCenter D7 SFF (D700SER) and ASUS ExpertCenter D9 Mini Tower.
The ExpertBook B5 will come with either a 14” or 16” display, and powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 7 processors and up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, dual SSD and graphics options up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050.
The laptop is made of an ultralight all-metal chassis, with the 14” model weighing from just 1.29 kg. The body has been tested to US MIL-STD military standards, to essentially handle anything the road can throw at it.
For those interested in Google’s Chrome OS, the new ASUS ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus (CX5403) will be the first Chromebook running and Intel Core Ultra processor.
The device is part of the new ‘Chromebook Plus’ Category that Google introduced back in October last year, which highlights new Chromebooks that are just a little bit more premium in hardware, and feature built-in Google apps and powerful AI capabilities like Magic Eraser.
The Chromebook will include up to 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB storage and have Wifi 6E on-board with a 14” WQXGA resolution NanoEdge touch display with support for a USI stylus.
The Chromebook includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port – letting you output to up to three displays in 4K resolution.
Lastly, ASUS have announced the ASUS ExpertCenter D5/D7/D9 Series, ExpertCenter D7 SFF and ASUS ExpertCenter D9 Mini Tower.
The compact systems come in 8.6L and 15.9L respectively and are powered by the latest Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh S series processors. You’ll be able to scale up to a full-sized NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics card inside.
The compact design of the case incorporates ASUS Tool-Free Design to allow for improved upgradability.
There’s no announcements on pricing or availability for the new TUF series gaming range, though we’ll see local announcements throughout the year, so stay tuned.
