AAlongside their Zenbook and Vivobook announcements earlier today, ASUS have also unveiled a range of new devices at their ‘In Search of Incredible: Transcendence’ event at CES 2024.
Today we’re seeing a new ASUS NUC and the ASUS AirVision M1 wearable display announced.
ASUS AirVision M1 wearable display
ASUS have also announced the ASUS AirVision M1 wearable display, a new pair of glasses which can display content from your phone or PC.
The ASUS AirVision M1 wearable display has a FHD (1920 x 1080) Micro OLED display which can ramp up to 1100 nits brightness, and an outstanding 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display offers 58 pixels per degree with 57° vertical perspective field of view.
The glasses include 3DoF positioning, meaning the glasses can track the user’s head movement in three directions: pitch, yaw, and roll – which allow you to pin a display in space and come back to it later. Users will be able to pin multiple virtual screens in a number of aspect ratios for real versatility.
The glasses will connect using USB-C supporting Display Port, and include built-in speakers as well as a touchpad for controlling brightness, 3D mode and the screen pinning feature.
ASUS NUC
As part of their deal to take over the Intel NUC program, ASUS have gone full steam ahead announcing the ROG NUC already, but are today announcing the new NUC 14 Pro series equipped with Intel Core Ultra Processors and dual-channel DDR5 RAM support.
This is a series of devices, with the NUC 14 Pro including a 4×4 matte textured chassis with a replaceable lid, while the NUC 14 Pro+ will use a new 5×4 chassis crafted from premium anodised aluminium.
The NUC Pro series will include CPU options up to Intel Core Ultra 7, while the NUC Pro+ series will come with options for up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors with both offering Intel ARC integrated graphics. There’s options to include up to 96GB (2x48GB) of on-board memory and dual-channel NVMe x4 SSD support.
The ASUS NUC includes excellent I/O support, with dual Thunderbolt 4 (Type-C) ports, dual HDMI 2.1, as well as USB Type-A and and RJ45 for Gigabit Ethernet.
ASUS will be offering the NUC in a choice with Windows included, or without, so you can choose what best suits you.
Availability
At this stage we’ve not seen any updates on the availability or pricing for the ASUS NUC or ASUS AirVision M1 wearable display but we’ll update as soon as they are available.
