Logitech unveils small form-factor Pro X 60 Gaming Keyboard

Logitech have unveiled the latest offering in their G Pro series, with the announcement of the Logitech G PRO X 60 LIGHTSPEED Gaming Keyboard.

The gaming keyboard is the latest in the 60 percent keyboard format – a popular keyboard format which removes the numeric keypad, navigational keys, and function keys, with the smaller form factor allowing for easier positioning, and more room on the desk for the more dynamic movements of the mouse to ensure players hit all their targets.

As a smaller form-factor device, Logitech have come up with a new feature for gaining back some of the critical ‘missing’ keys with KeyControl. KeyControl lets users customise key combinations in GHUB to assign up to 15 functions per key and tailor their keyboard to their unique style, says Logitech.

The G Pro X 60 Gaming Keyboard is packed full of features, including dual-shot PBT keycaps offering clearer fonts and longer lasting labels, as well as LIGHTSYNC programmable RGB lighting, Game Mode Switch to disable non-essential keys, though there’s also media controla and a volume roller on the side of the keyboard.

Logitech are using GX Optical Switches – which activate with light – in the Pro X 60, which offer faster actuation than mechanical switches and speed up gameplay. These Optical Swtiches are factory lubricated to provide a smooth, and satisfying experience when gaming, or simply typing.

The keyboard offers multiple connectivity options, including wired (USB-C), Bluetooth and the Logitech 2:1 Lightspeed adapter allows you to connect multiple Lightspeed devices including a mouse simultaneously. While wired has traditionally been best for gaming, the development of Lightspeed by Logitech makes the wireless connection as fast as wired, while still maintaining an ‘extremely robust’ connection, even in the most difficult environments.

As a pro level device, Logitech include a semi-hard carrying case to transport or store your new keyboard in, with a bonus ‘G’ labelled keycap to use on your keyboard for a little extra flair.

The Logitech G Pro X 60 Lightspeed Gaming Keyboard is available to pre-order now on LogitechG.com for $399.95 in three colour choices: Black, White and Pink.
