For those who love the idea of taking a big display with them anywhere, LG has announced their portable StanbyME Go portable display is now available in Australia.
Available now through the LG Website and Harvey Norman, the StanbyME Go offers a more portable and compact version of the original StanbyME announced last year.
Housed in a stylish and sturdy carrying case, the StanbyME Go opens up to show a 27-inch touch display with a 20W four-channel speaker system with both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support for immersive audio and brilliant colours.
The display can be adjusted up to 18cm higher, and you can rotate the display 90° so you can view portrait content, as well as operating in Table Mode for playing board games, or just using the turntable music player fora retro look and feel.
The touch display allows you to navigate LG’s WebOS which includes all your favourite local and international streaming apps like Stan, Netflix, Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime, as well as games and more. You can also access brightness, volume and power settings with a swipe down gesture.
The unit is ready to go anywhere with MIL-Spec 810H certification for high and low temperatures, dust, shock, and more, and includes a 3-hour battery on-board offering a pretty decent runtime for most movies.
The StanbyME Go includes HDMI connectivity so you can connect devices, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so you can stream from a Wi-Fi hotspot if required.
Tony Brown, General Manager – Home Entertainment Marketing and Content Business at LG Electronics Australia commented on the launch of the StanbyME Go.
“Over the past few years, we have seen increasing diversification in the way people consume their favourite content. From the size of the screen to where people like to watch their favourite shows, consumers are taking entertainment into their own hands. Following the popularity of the original StanbyME model, we are thrilled to be bringing the StanbyME Go to Australia and look forward to seeing its integration with the outdoor Aussie lifestyle.”
