Samsung is finally going to release their rolling robot Ballie this year

It seems I’ve been lusting after Samsung’s rolling robot for a couple of years now, but after their press conference this morning, it seems we’re finally going to be getting our home companion – with Samsung announcing Ballie will be available in the first half of 2025!

First shown off at CES 2020, Ballie was first introduced as a rolling robot with a built-in assistant and camera that could run your smart home, while also cruising around as a sort of sentinel.

Ballie has been shown to be able to interact with appliances to get them going, and was shown off last year with an integrated projector that it could use to show off videos on almost any flat surface from the floor, to the walls and even the roof.

At this stage we don’t have any price or dates, but you can rest assured after five years of teasing, we are ready!
