Fujifilm Australia has today announced the upcoming availability of two new additions to their popular X-Series range — the X-E5 and the XF23mmF2.8 R WR lens.
The X-E5 is a lightweight, compact, mirrorless digital camera which delivers excellent image quality thanks in part to its “back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel “X-TransTM CMOS 5 HR” sensor and the “X-Processor 5″ high-speed image processing engine.”
The new camera includes 5-axis in-body stabilisation making it perfect for even the most challenging environments. It is capable of capturing 6.2K/30P, 4K/60p and FHD/240P resolution and features a tracking AF function during video recording for the smoothest of footage.
The X-E5 offers a premium feel in the hand and the new viewfinder display provides a clean image with key information only displayed at the bottom of the display. The viewfinder also includes a new Surround View function that shows the area outside the shooting area.
The camera is ideal for not only photography enthusiasts but also beginners, thanks to its easy-to-use operation and lightweight nature.
The Fujifilm will go on sale in August 2025 for RRP $2,699.
The new Fujifilm XF23mmF2.8 R WR lens is part of the XF Lens lineup for the X series of cameras. It is both lightweight and compact, with a focal length of 23mm. It is capable of handling standard, wide-angle and close-up photography, all with a single lens. This means it is perfect for all situations, including snapshots, travel, portrait and landscape photography.
Also on sale in August 2025, the RRP is yet to be confirmed.
