One Plan – Exetel offer a single internet plan. Keeping it simple

The Internet is a wonderful concept, especially when you get to enjoy it using fast networks. The entire knowledge base of the universe at your fingertips. But for many just accessing it is a maze of confusing jargon.

So how do you tell your megabits from your megabytes, your upload speed versus your download speed, your coax from your fibre or your RSP versus your ISP?

In comes exetel to make life simple. No need to get confused about what plan you need, exetel, a subsidiary of one of Australia’s most popular nbn providers, Superloop lets you choose any plan you like as long as it’s the only plan they offer.

For those who have the necessary infrastructure to support high speed internet Exetel will offer you their one and only plan. 500 megabits per second down and 40 megabits per second up (500/40).

That’s it. No wondering if you might need more or less, that’s the offer

Called “One Plan” it offers those with Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) or Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) connections one speed at one price

Exetel describe the move as ending “plan-xiety”, a term I am not sure will catch on, but the concept is simple. They have dropped all other plans and stuck with one. One that won’t jump in price after a honeymoon period. As they describe it “One Plan, Max Flex. Search Over”

At Superloop, we pride ourselves on being actual disrupters and genuine innovators. Our people are motivated by a common ethos: we work harder for our customers than anyone else. And that’s not a slogan in an ad – that’s our internal core belief,” says Superloop CMO, Ben Colman.

Additional incentives such as a refer-a-friend discount and a speed boost for an extra $1 per day is a bonus for those craving simplicity. A service you can dip in and out of as you require. You can even hibernate your service and save a dollar a day when you don’t need it such as when you go on holidays.

To be honest, I’m tempted myself to switch. It’s something a bit different in the market and may be worth a look. Switching is easy so why not give it a try?
