Peloton are going AI with Peloton IQ, launching alongside a new cross training series of devices

Peloton is the latest company to introduce AI to its portfolio with AI-powered coaching, known as Peloton IQ. Launching alongside the new AI features is an expanded wellness content, new cross-training hardware and improved integration with wearables.

Peloton IQ has been introduced across the entire product portfolio and is designed to make personal training more accessible with coaching that is responsive to you and your goals. It will provide you with performance estimates, track your progress, and offer real-time insights into your fitness journey. Peloton IQ is available on all Peloton’s connected fitness equipment, regardless of whether it’s new or old.

Peloton IQ will be at its best and more thorough on the new Cross Training Series plus line (Bike+ in Australia), thanks to a built-in Movement-Tracking Camera providing additional data. Peloton IQ is also able to provide real-time feedback on exercise form, count your reps, and suggest the weights you should be lifting.

Add in wearable data from Garmin Connect, Fitbit, Apple Health, and Peloton IQ, and Peloton IQ becomes your personal trainer, providing insights into how to achieve your fitness goals most effectively. It will do this by tailoring recommendations for your workout plan, determining the appropriate level for you to perform at, and providing insights and analysis on your journey so far.

“This is the start of a new chapter for Peloton,” said Peloton CEO Peter Stern. “We’re doubling the value of our hardware with the Cross Training Series by delivering world-class cardio and strength in a single machine. With Peloton IQ, we’re introducing a new level of intelligent personalisation to become the ultimate partner in our Members’ wellness journeys. This is more than an upgrade; it’s a relaunch.”

The new Cross Training Series from Peloton comprises five connected fitness devices: the Cross Training Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and Row+, with the last two available only in the US and Canada. Every device in the lineup features a swivel screen, allowing you to quickly switch from training on the device to a floor-based exercise, such as yoga or Pilates.

The Bike+ includes the aforementioned Movement Tracking Camera for more personalised training recommendations, speakers that feature a subwoofer (tuned by Sonos), hands-free control, a fan positioned atop the screen, a phone tray, and a new seat for enhanced cushioning. The new Peloton Comfort Saddle is available for purchase separately and will fit any current or older Peloton bike.

Peloton is also expanding its support for overall wellness with insights and classes to help with strength and mobility, mental well-being, sleep, and recovery.

Peloton has increased the price of its All-Access Membership from $59 to $65 AUD and App+ Membership from $35 to $39.99 AUD. For a list of Membership options and pricing, please visit https://www.onepeloton.com/en-AU/membership.
