LG brings back the Wallpaper TV in 2026

Super thin, stunning picture, utterly unique.  That’s how I would describe what was known in 2017 as the LG OLED W – the Wallpaper thin TV.  Expensive, but impressive.  In 2026, it’s back, drawing on a bunch of technological advances to make it fit for the modern home – more so than ever.

The Wallpaper TV isn’t as thin as the original, but at less than 10mm thick when mounted on your wall, there’s nothing that compares to it on the market.

Instead of a bulky soundbar that housed all the TV smarts and connectivity, the new 2026 LG OLED Wallpaper TV has just a single thin power cable, and all your other inputs are connected to a Wireless Zero Connect Box, which can be on the other side of the room if you choose.

Officially the LG OLED eco W6, this stunner will lead the LG lineup in 2026 and will come in 77 and 83-inch sizes.

With a new wall mount system, the TV sits flush against the wall from edge to edge, while the actual edge is a nicely designed 9mm thick border which looks good even up close side on.

After 13 years of OLED TV’s the OLED Wallpaper TV also features the latest “Hyper Radiant Colour Technology,” which LG says “sets the standard for next-generation display excellence.”

Because it features LG Gallery+, the Wallpaper TV also has an impressive look when you’re not watching TV – with over 4500 gallery visuals as well as your own personal library of photos.

And don’t worry, it’s not just for looks; the OLED Wallpaper TV also has the best gaming on offer with 4K 165Hz refresh, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD Freesync, as well as a 0.1ms pixel response time and Auto Low Latency mode.

“The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation, and 13 years of OLED mastery,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “LG continues to raise the bar for OLED TVs, setting the standard for what’s next.”
