At CES 2026 overnight, Reolink have announced two major innovations in home security. A unique approach to AI for their existing range of security cameras plus the introduction of new security cameras including the flagship OMVI series of triple-lens cameras. Also announced a major advancement in processing power enabling significant improvements in battery life.
The Reolink AI Box
In the ultimate example of retrofitting, Reolink has found a clever way to bring AI enhancement to existing camera setups, with the promise of providing quicker and more secure experiences. Their new Reolink AI Box acts as a central hub for the home, compatible with most existing Reolink cameras to speed up processing and bring their ReoNeura AI capabilities to non-AI devices.
In this unique approach, all data from detection, analysis and search is processed on the AI Box which should negate any cloud delays, latency plus address any privacy issued related to cloud-based alternatives.
Reolink list it’s features as
The Reolink AI Box will be available in the second half of 2026 on their website as well as Amazon.
The Reolink OMVI Series
Also announced for release in the coming months was the OMVI lineup of Triple-Lens cameras. The flagship model OMVI X16 PoE has just been named a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree.
Home security cameras have improved over recent years, with that improvement mostly in the form of improvements to image resolution. The Reolink X16 PoE is no exception with 4K resolution but in response to consumer demand and in a case of commercial functionality trickling down to consumer appliances, this camera offers a 180° Field of View, 360° Pan and 140° Tilt ensuring you do not miss anything.
But that is not the end of the innovation. The camera also possesses a 16X Optical Zoom to capture activity at any part of the home, office or property.
All these features allow real-time synchronised tracking of any subject. Auto Patrol can be scheduled so you can control where and when a scan is performed and Auto Sweep conducts a full-area scan on demand.
New Solar Floodlight Camera
Reolink have added to their family of floodlights, first introduced at IFA 2025 with the new Solar Floodlight Camera. No cables, no manual recharging when one hour of sunlight is sufficient to power the camera for an entire day. No sunny days? Then the battery will still last 3 months without the need of a charge so this really is a set and forget option.
Other specs include 2K resolution, 150° ultra-wide field of view and colour night vision
New Power-Efficient Series
Lastly it was announced that a new lineup of battery doorbells and cameras would feature technology developed in partnership with Qualcomm, enabling optimal battery performance – up to 96% longer than industry standard.
The combination of these new cameras, greater performance and the Reolink AI Box is a real game-changer. The ability to capture more activity but also to use locally housed AI to search, analyse, file and manipulate that footage results in Reolink offering a compelling series of products.
