PR stunt life lesson: Always press the red button

PR stunts can be pretty lame these days. I mean, lets face facts – the flashmob is so 2008. So it’s amazing when creative people come up with a new way of getting attention and then turning it into a viral video, like this TNT stunt in Belgium.

To launch a new drama channel on cable TV, a Belgian square was transformed into a movie set for a day. The only condition was that someone had to be willing to push the big red button.

The seemingly random combination of sex and violence has onlookers captivated, like a proper Hollywood blockbuster. Now if only someone could pull that kind of stunt off in Sydney’s Pitt St Mall…
