Philips HairClipper Series 7000 review – top notch clippers that are easy to use

If you’re running with a simple buzz cut approach to grooming you’re probably getting frustrated with paying $20+ for a hair cut when – with the greatest of respect to hair dressers – the process for a “number 2 all over” is pretty darn simple. But it’s only simple if you’ve got a quality clipper – enter the Philips Series 7000

This baby is Philips most advanced clipper to date, and offers some pretty good custom settings for the user.

Philips HairClipper 7000

Its titanium blades are harder than steel, and has what Philips calls “DualCut” technology – cutting hair twice as fast as regular Philips clippers. What that means is it will pass through any hair type for a smoother cut.

Here’s where it gets nifty – rather than the many different “guides” for each “size” or length setting, the HairClipper Series 7000 (Model HC7450/80) has just two guides – one for hair the other for beard trimming. You achieve the different lengths of cut by using the twist dial length setting which simply pushes the guide out to the desired length – anywhere from 0.5mm to 23mm.

To make it last, the blades are also self-sharpening and you won’t be sold oil at purchase because they do not require maintenance or oiling

I found using the clipper was easy – and battery won’t be an issue because it runs even when charging.

It’s ergonomic looking design really does feel comfortable in the hand and the power it has really makes it glide through hair of all thickness.

It isn’t the best choice as a beard trimmer, because it has such a wide clipping head on it, so for exclusively beard trimming you would probably consider a smaller model. As a combo unit or perhaps best as a hair clipper it’s top-notch.

The HairClipper Series 7000 is available now exclusively from Shaver Shop and it will set you back $129.95
