When you’ve only got $99 to spend on a new mobile, the choices are limited – so you really want something that’s at least a bit different and has some bragging rights. Alcatel today launched the new Boost DEX aimed at the “budget conscious youth” of Australia.

Featuring a five inch display, quad-core processor and three back covers to change colours to suit your mood it’s pretty great value at $99.
Connecting to the Boost 4G network (Telstra) it’s also got the speed you’ll want for uploads and downloads.
Perhaps setting it out from the rest though is the preloaded DJ software which allows you to mix tracks and watch clips on the go.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Boost DEX to the Australian market this Christmas. It’s a slick, smartly priced smartphone packed with great features. It’s a great statement piece for those looking a smartphone that delivers customisable style and fantastic audio, especially those looking for a true alternative to be the envy of their friends this summer,” says Sam Skontos, Vice President and Managing Director of alcatel, ANZ, Singapore and Pacific.
The Boost DEX is available from Boost.com.au or BigW, KMart and Target.
