Kogan goes ultra thin with new Atlas laptop range

Kogan have released a new ultra-slim laptop range called “Atlas” which features not only a thin and good looking design, but also thin on price aimed at the budget conscious consumer.

Featuring an aluminium body, weighing in at just 1.35kg and running windows 10, these are worth a look especially when you see the specs.

The “entry” level Atlas UltraSlim features:

  • 13.3” 1920 x 1080 FHD Display
  • 6-13.5mm width aluminium body
  • Intel Pentium 4405Y CPU @ 1.5 GHz
  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • 64GB eMMc hard drive with SSD slot for expansion
  • 4GB RAM
  • 1.35 kg

While the Pro version ups the resolution to 2560×1440, improves processor to an Intel M3 6th Gen @ 2.2GHz and features a 256GB SSD hard drive.

The Atlas UltraSlim is $569 while the Pro is $799.

Ruslan Kogan, Founder and CEO of Kogan.com, said that design was important to customers according to their research “We’ve done research, and customer feedback shows there’s plenty of great laptops on the market — especially at price points well above $1000.

“However, there were no options for people who wanted a laptop that would get the job done, be attractive enough to be pulled out on the plane with pride, and still be affordable. We think we’ve found the perfect balance between specs, design and price point with the Kogan Atlas UltraSlim. It’s a device that’s perfectly suited to both a businessperson on the move, or a student returning back to school,” said Kogan.

We’ll give these laptops a run to see what their suited to, but at a glance its lacking processor power for anything medium to high end, and we don’t have battery life details – but as an entry level laptop it’s worth the comparison.
