Hisense Series 7 TV pricing for 2017 announced – slight bump on 2016

Hisense had a very good year in 2016.  The company ended the year topping the sales charts with their affordable high quality TVs and in 2017 are taking a broader approach to target even more of the Aussie TV market.

Announced at CES and showcased at the Melbourne Grand Prix earlier this year,  Hisense will bring their premium Series 8 and Series 9 TVs to Australia priced between $2,999 and $11,000 (55 inch up to 85 inch).

At a slightly lower price point the next generation ULED Series 7 TVs are a step up from last year’s TV which we awarded the EFTM Best Award given the outstanding quality and value proposition.

We’ll review the TVs shortly, but on price it seems Hisense are on track for the same value.

At the larger sizes the priced are identical to 2016 with a $4,999 price tag n the 75 inch Series 7 and $3,499 for the 65 inch.

In the “smaller” sizes there is a small bump in prices year on year, with the 50 inch TV $200 more than 2016 at $1,699, and the 55 inch $500 more at $2,499.

The 2017 Series 7 TVs feature HDR Plus on a 4K panel, and continue the local dimming technology which made the 2016 TV quality so great.

You’ll get Netflix 4K out of the box, Stan pre-installed (though no confirmation in the specifications if it will be available in 4K), and HbbTV compatibility for the Freeview Plus catch-up content.

There’s no 70 inch model this year, but with four sizes in Series 7, plus the addition of the more premium Series 8 & 9 TVs means the Hisense range is bigger than ever  – and can be found at all the big retailers.
