Fetch TV adds Discovery Channel and TLC

Fetch TV has announced the addition of two new channels to it’s streaming subscription service through a partnership with Discovery Networks.

It’s a landmark announcement for Fetch with the iconic Discovery Channel coming to their “Fetch Knowledge Pack” with TLC added to the “Fetch Variety Pack”.

Both packs individually remain at $6 per month, with the full “Ultimate” pack costing $20 a month for 49 channels.

Scott Lorson, CEO of Fetch TV, said; “Since its inception in 1985, Discovery Channel has been a flagship channel in the factual entertainment space. We are delighted to add Discovery Channel and TLC to the Fetch content line up, as we continue to offer Australian subscribers unparalleled value and choice with 49 leading channels available for only $20 pm, along with the option to choose from four $6 per month ‘skinny’
channel packs.”

On March 1 the Nat Geo People channel will no longer broadcast in Australia and will be removed from all channel packs, though National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild will remain on Fetch TV.

There’s more to come in 2018 Lorson told EFTM, hot on the heels of a big set of additions to the channel lineup in 2017.

Scott Lorson said “As we charge toward 1 million subscribers, we will continue to expand our content offering. We are off with a bang in 2018, and have more announcements planned over the coming months.”
