Kogan launch NBN plans – $58.90 for the NBN50 speed

The tentacles of the Kogan empire are far reaching and ever expanding and today sees the launch of their NBN services at aggressive prices set to present a clear opportunity for the savvy NBN user.

Using the Vodafone network created for that telco’s own NBN launch last year, Kogan is offering a simple set of month-to-month no lock in contract plans.  Prices start at $58.90 for the NBN12 plan, going up to $88.90 for the fastest NBN100 plan.

Taking a similar approach to other Kogan offerings, there is an introductory deal for those who sign up before the end of June, with a $10 discount on the NBN50 plan making it $58.90 per month.

With the NBN50 plan being the sweet spot for speed, the standard $68.90 price from Kogan NBN is competitive – cheaper (by $1) than MyRepublic and TPG, so the $10 a month discount, which will last you two years (a $240 saving is nothing to shrug at) is going to get some attention out there.

Kogan NBN’s modem is charged at just $69 – so while we haven’t tested it, don’t rely on it for amazing whole of house WiFi, but given the expense it’s almost a no brainer to switch and test the Kogan NBN network – with the addition of a Netgear Orbi or Google Wifi it’s going to be perfect.
