While I was on Toyota Supra duties last week McLaren Automotive launched this pearler locally. The company produces some of the fastest cars on the planet, period. But now joining the Sports Series range arrives the 600LT, the lightest and most powerful in the range yet.
The 600LT is now the fourth supercar to join the ‘Longtail’ series, available in limited numbers. The track focused 600LT scores a unique exhaust with high-mounted pipes and extra doses of enhanced carbon fibre bodywork. It really is a menacing looking machine.
The numbers are frankly astonishing, it weighs a mere 1,274kg and will bolt from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The car will decelerate from 200km/h in just 117 metres thanks to McLaren Senna inspired brake boosters. All this pace is generated by a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 producing 441kW and 620Nm.

The LT redefines expectations of super-sportscar performance and pays homage to McLaren rich racing history. To date, we’ve already received an incredible amount of interest from the Australian market and I am looking forward to seeing it on Australian roads.”
The McLaren range consists of the Super Series 650S, 675LT and 720S, the P1, P1 GTR and Senna under the Ultimate Series. The 600LT is positioned in the Sports Series range which includes the 540C, 570GT, 570S Coupe and 570S Spider.
Australian deliveries will commence in late 2018, from $455,000 before on-roads.
