Tesla Owners Rack up 1 Billion Miles on Autopilot

Tesla made the claim today via a Tweet that “As of today Tesla owners have driven 1 billion miles with Autopilot.”

A pretty cool stat right? To fully understand this a few things need to be taken into account. The figure includes all Tesla cars driven to date, even ones prior to Autopilot launching in 2015.

However Tesla owners with vehicles built from September 2014 have always had the option to upgrade to Autopilot anyway.
