Hisense bringing Soundbars to Australia in 2019

Hisense is expanding their retail product offering in Australia in 2019 with the addition of Soundbars, capitalising on the growing market for enhanced sound for our big-screen TV experience.

Having announced a range of enhanced ULED TVs as well as 100 inch Laser TV, Hisense is adding Soundbars as a new category for the business in 2019.

With Dolby Vision on the big screen it makes sense to add Dolby Atmos in a 5.1.2 Soundbar for a solid and immersive sound experience.

Speaking here in Las Vegas at CES Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia said, “At Hisense we continue to innovate with the latest technologies to provide our Australian consumers with the ultimate at-home cinematic experience. This year, we’ve put an even greater emphasis on sound to ensure we can deliver on this and the introduction of the sound bar range is yet another example of how we are responding to consumer demand.”

“2019 is set to be our biggest year yet. Launching sound bars in the Australian market, together with significant audio improvements across our TVs is all part of our mission to provide our Australian customers with even greater opportunities to immerse themselves in a premium, at-home viewing experience,” Iannuzzi added.

The category will launch in the first half of this year, with the actual product line up and pricing to be announced in the months ahead.

What we know right now about the 5.1.2 soundbar is it will feature Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 4K and HDR Passthrough as well as HDMI, Bluetooth, AUX Audio input, USB, Optical and Coaxial connections.

EFTM understands a second product, a 2.1 channel entry-level soundbar with wireless subwoofer will be the starter product for the new range in Australia.
