The eSport industry is here to stay. Regardless of whether you consider it a real sport or not, nobody can argue with the huge viewership and industry revenue being generated. However having said that, in comparison to the rest of the world Australia has been a late adopter.

The eSport industry is a growing phenomenon.

Which is why it’s brilliant to see companies like Alienware supporting the industry even further moving into 2019. To kick off the year, they’ve announced a partnership with Melbourne-based eSport organisation ‘ORDER’.

ORDER eSports.

This partnership has seen Alienware drop off a vast array of their gaming equipment, inclusive of Alienware Aurora’s, gaming monitors and a few of the new m15 laptops.

Ben Jackson of Dell ANZ (Alienware’s parent brand) has said that “Australia’s eSports scene is well established and has incredible potential… We’re incredibly proud to continue Alienware’s long history of supporting eSports” – however as a long time participant in the scene I’d argue that we’ve only just started to see some traction here in Australia, which makes this partnership all the more beneficial to the community as a whole.

Great stuff from Alienware to kick off the year and we hope to see increasing support for the eSport industry in Australia moving forward.
