EXCLUSIVE: Huawei launches customer service through HappyTel stores across Australia

It’s been a rough few months for Huawei, but things are starting to look up. While the direct impact of Donald Trump’s recent announcement at the G20 which should see the American trade ban on Huawei disappear is yet to fully realise itself, Aussie customers can expect a better and faster level of after-sales support across the country.

Huawei is set to announce a partnership with Mobile Phone repair chain HappyTel which will see the 56+ HappyTel locations become a service centre network for Huawei.

With a market share in Australia that has more than doubled from 3% to 8% in a year the after-sales support is a critical area of need for Huawei in Australia.

Huawei Australia Boss Larking Huang says “Our customers come first and we are excited to partner with Happytel to ensure Huawei consumers
have peace of mind and the convenience of Happytel’s nationwide authorised service centres.”

The Happytel stores will carry out some repairs while in other cases they will act as a collection point allowing customers a drop off location nearer to their home.

Huawei is also set to open a new flagship store in Sydney which alongside this network of service locations for Huawei customers will help bolster the brand in Australia in the hopes that the next 12 months will see continued growth with new flagship devices due likely in September, and the true effects of the recent negative publicity yet to be confirmed.
