It’s been a couple of years now since Sony first floated the fully wireless noise cancelling headphone concept – and their first attempt was excellent.

Today Sony have announced the latest generation of the 1000X with improved noise cancelling and more on-board power and performance which they say enables you to hear “the music and nothing else”

Abel Makhraz from Sony Australia says “Following the huge success of our WH-1000XM3 headphones, we are thrilled to be able to offer customers Sony’s innovative Industry-leading noise cancellation in a truly wireless in-ear form factor,”.

“The WF-1000XM3 earbuds provide the benefits of the over-ear headphones, in a compact and lightweight design, and we are delighted to welcome these new headphones to the 1000X family.”
A dual-noise sensor combined with a new “HD Noise Cancelling” processor called the QN1e are what’s behind the enhanced sound.

They’re fully wire-free and you’ll get six hours battery life at a time, with 3 additional full charges coming from the charging case – for a total of 24 hours usage time.
They look good, we’re sure they will sound good.

We’ll put them to the test over the weeks ahead.
