Rugged Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 arrives in Australia

Samsung Australia has today announced the local launch of their latest ruggedised tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active3.

Announced back in September, the Galaxy Tab Active3 is aimed not at the usual conusmer crowd, but at the business sector with a bunch of features including KNOX for data security, and their DeX PC experience when the device plugs into a display. The tablet also offers several ruggedised features to protect the tablet from the worst a business, or indeed any owner can throw at it.

To start with the Galaxy Tab Active3 includes IP68 Water/Dust resistance rating that lets you submerge the tablet (and S Pen) for up to half an hour in a metre of water, and also a MIL-STD-810H certification that covers shock protection and drops of up to 1.5 meters. The tablet also has Touch Sensitivites so it can be used while wearing gloves.

It’s no slouch under the hood either with a Samsung Exynos 9810 processor, 4GB RAM and 5050mAh user replaceable battery, which is almost unheard of these days, powering the machine.

In terms of pricing you’ll find different options for either 64GB and 128GB storage, as well as a choice between LTE and Wifi models.
