You’ve gotta hand it to Apple, they’ve managed to get their streaming platform installed on a vast range of TVs across brands like Samsung and LG in a very short space of time since launch, and this month that will expand to a range of Sony Smart TVs.
The software rollout to Sony X9000H series TV will start today and run across the coming weeks.
Models include the Z8H, A8H, X95H, X80H, Z9G, A9G, X95G, X85G, Z9F and A9F.
Sony’s head of TV in Australia Aki Hosoda said “We are thrilled to be offering the Apple TV app on our latest Sony X9000H series, with plans to roll out the app further on select models by the end of the year. The Apple TV app will open up an even bigger world of entertainment, allowing customers to enjoy Apple TV+, Apple TV channels and more, in addition to a whole range of entertainment apps available on our smart TVs.”
With the Apple TV app you can stream all the new shows on Apple TV+, as well as access subscription Apple TV “Channels” like 10 All Access, Mubi and Acorn TV (Whatever they are!?).
