Canon announces new Home and Home Office PIXMA range for Australia

At CES, Canon took the tact of not announcing new printers internationally, but here at home Canon has announced a range of new inkjet printer for the home office.

The new Canon PIXMA range launching includes three models aimed at the home office which make printing, scanning, and copying easier than ever, while their PIXMA HOME series is aimed at small business owners or those working remotely.

PIXMA Home

Starting at the bottom of the range at a mere $54RRP, the Canon PIXMA HOME TS3460 (Black) and TS3465 (White) are simple to use, and offer three-in-one, multifunction operation with one-touch wireless setup.

Canon is including a ‘FINE’ level cartridge in the box for improved yields, meaning you need fewer ink cartridges changes – always a good thing with an inkjet printer.

The quality is good at 4800×1200 and can print at 7.7 ipm (Images Per Minute) in black, or four in colour, with 4×6” photos printing in just 65 seconds on high-quality Glossy Photo Paper – not bad for a $54 printer.

Also announced in their PIXMA Home Office range is the PIXMA HOME OFFICE TR7060 with a $139 RRP, another three-in-one multifunction device which includes an Automatic Document Feeder and auto duplex printing, as well as voice commands. 

The printer is also faster than the cheaper models, printing at 13ipm in black, and 6.8 in colour. 

PIXMA Home Office – MegaTank

For their home office range, Canon has signed an exclusive deal with Officeworks who will begin ranging the G3620 later this month, while the G3660 will hit Harvey Norman, Joyce Mayne and Domayne later this month. 

The models are the entry level models in the range which includes Canons’ ‘refillable continuous ink system tank’. The printers are easy to connect with either USB or wireless supported.

The PIXMA G3620 is a compact multifunction printer with Wi-Fi connectivity that is capable of printing banners up to 1.2m in length. The printer includes the same 4800×1200 print resolution as the Home range of PIXMA printers, though it gets up to 9.1ipm in black and 5ipm in colour.

If you’re after something a bit faster, the PIXMA G3660 offers the same print and scan resolution as the G3620, though you can get faster printing with speeds up to 10.6ipm in black, and 6ipm in colour.

The G3620 will be priced at $419, while the G3660 will be priced at $499.

All five models in the new Canon PIXMA Home and Home Office range will be available later this month. You can check them out now on the Canon Australia website.
