Ring has today announced a new floodlight to join their growing family of outdoor security lights, the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, bringing with it their 3D Motion Detection powered by radar and a Bird’s Eye View.
The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is motion activated, like their previous floodlights, and includes a 2,000 lumen floodlight with the camera mounted between the two lights. As for nearly all of Ring’s security cameras it includes a built-in siren, 110dB, and is capable of recording 1080P HDR video and colour night vision.
Once again a speaker and microphones have been included, this time improved to allow for better two-way communication. Using Customisable Motion Zones and Privacy Zones the 3D Motion Detection picks up motion in the zones using a radar sensor to detect when motion crosses the threshold you set within the app. The motion is then depicted as an aerial map in the recorded video.
As you may expect from the name the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is hardwired supporting 100-240V along with 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi connection at 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. As you would hope with an outdoor camera it is weather resistant with it being able to be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro will be available for purchase in the coming months at Ring.com (19 May), Amazon.com.au, Bunnings, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Bing Lee for $379. Additionally, the original Ring Floodlight Cam is now available for an all-new low price of $299.00 on Ring.com and Amazon.com.au.
