Nokia X20 with 5G heads down under for $599 with 3 year warranty

HMD Global has announced that the Nokia X20 is heading down under next month for $599, with pre-orders going live from today.

The Nokia X20 was announced last month as part of their new X-series phones, which are all about unrivaled reliability and durability said HMD Global. The Nokia X20 commits to this with a a free, three-month screen replacement guarantee as well as three year warranty, and to make sure you’re safe for that time you’ll get three years of security and Android updates too.

The durability is a cost saving factor says ANZ Country Manager, HMD Global James Robinson,  who said

In Australia, we spend more than $155 million each year to replace broken and lost mobile handsets – a significant amount. That’s why Nokia phones go the extra mile when it comes to build quality and durability – undergoing tougher tests than the industry average. And now, we’ve even introduced an industry-leading three-year warranty, making it easier for Australians to hold onto their phones for longer.”

Nokia X20 Midnight Sun

At $599, the Nokia X20 is positioned as a mid-range device and comes with a 5G capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor announced earlier this year, 6 GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The phone also offers premium options like ZEISS optics on the camera array, which includes a 64MP quad camera with 5MP Ultra Wide, 2MP Macro and 2MP depth sensor on board and a 32MP selfie camera on the front in a punch-hole notch on the 6.67-inch FHD+ display.

Nokia X20 Nordic Blue

The Nokia X20 will be available in two colours, Nordic Blue and Midnight Sun for $599 from June 3rd. You can pre-order the phone from today from JB HI-FI with bonus Nokia Lite Earbuds, or buy it from Officeworks and Nokia online from June 3rd. HMD Global says the phone will also be heading to Harvey Norman and Big W at some stage.
