Casio announced their first G-Shock watch, the G-Squad Pro running Google’s Wear OS earlier this month. Today, the G-Squad Pro is launching in Australia for $999.
The G-Squad Pro (GSWH100) is billed as the ‘Toughest Smartwatch on the Market’, but it includes both shock and water resistance (up to 200m) with a chunky 19.5mm case in that distinctive G-Shock style.
The watch includes a dual-layer 1.2” display which has a low-power always-on monochrome LCD screen for showing the time, and a colour LCD screen that can show higher resolution information like maps, sensor data and more.
The monochrome display and sensors only can offer up to one month of use, though using the colour display will drop down to a day & a half of use – and it takes about three hours to charge.
The watch includes an absolute ton of sensors with the optical sensor on board to offer heart monitoring, barometer, compass and more as well as GPS to track your hike, run, ride and offer pace and distance tracking. Casio uses these sensors in their watch app which offers support for 15 activities and 24 indoor workout options.
The G-Shock G-Squad Pro is available from today from the G-Shock Australia website however there are limited quantities, and G-Shock collectors will love this new model.
