Gone are the days where many of us have needed to keep a close on eye our mobile data usage to prevent excess charges. We saw mobile carriers launch pans with unlimited data in recent years, but that unlimited data came with a catch — speed was capped after a certain data volume. Vodafone has become the first carrier to take the next step by offering unlimited data at the maximum speed.

With their new Ultra+ plan Vodafone now offer unlimited data usage at the maximum available speeds for $85 per month. The new plan is available in-store and online when customers sign up to a SIM only or handset plan. Vodafone’s new 5G network, currently rolling out around the country, allows their customers to now not only get unlimited data but also get great value for money with high 5G speeds.

Chief Marketing Officer John Casey explained the idea behind the new plan:

This is an all-you-can eat mobile data plan for just $85 per month, it’s that simple. Customers want to set and forget their telco plan, and this gives them unlimited mobile data at maximum available speeds, as well as unlimited standard national calls and texts.

“This means customers can stream, browse and connect on their mobile without giving data limits a second thought. With millions of Australians at home in lockdown, there’s never been a more important time to create a great value worry-free experience.”

Before you get too excited and have dreams of tethering all the things to your smartphone on this Ultra+ plan, the plan includes just 30GB of data that can be used at full speeds while hotspotting. After you have used up this 30GB the hotspot speeds will drop to just 2Mbps.
