Samsung sure aren’t mucking around today. In addition to the three new Samsung Galaxy S22 models announced this morning, the company also released a new range of Galaxy Tab’s – but not one, or two, again – three new Galaxy Tab S8’s.
Starting with the 11 inch Galaxy Tab S8, a 6.3mm thick almost all-screen tablet weighing just a touch over 500 grams packing an 8,000mAh battery available in WiFi only and 5G variants.
The 12.4 inch Tab S8+ is even thinner – 5.7mm with a 10,090mAh battery.
But the real joy is in the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. This beast has a 14.6 inch screen and a 11,200mAh battery.
That big beast is just 5.5 mm thick and hell does it feel it – it’s really something to behold.
More importantly, the wide 2960×1848 screen is made for content viewing.
All three would be ideal productivity devices, or media consumption devices. They come with an S-Pen, but pair them with an optional keyboard folio and I can’t see why you’d need a laptop for most of the core functions of the majority of users.
Interestingly, and it will be fascinating to see how this is reported among the Android community, but the Ultra features a notch which pops into the screen ever so slightly for the dual front facing cameras.
