After recently announcing the Watch GT 3 series, Huawei has today announced they’re launching four new wearable products in Australia. 

The new range includes the Huawei Watch D, Watch GT3 Pro Series, Watch Fit 2 and the Huawei Band 7.

The new range is part of the Huawei digital health ecosystem offering a range of options for multiple price points on devices, as well as health services for monitoring and improving your health. 

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro 

The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro will be available in either 43mm or 46mm sizes, priced from $899 and $999 respectively. The watches include a sapphire crystal glass on the front of the AMOLED display, with the 43mm offering a 1.32-inch screen, while the 46mm model has a larger 1.43-inch display.

The 43mm option comes in ceramic case with a gold stainless steel bezel with a gold coated, large Cut rivet rotating crown. The watch includes a white ceramic strap which is smooth and skin friendly as well as scratch resistant. 

The 46mm model has a titanium case with a small rivet cut rotating titanium Crown and a grey leather strap. 

The 43mm model offers up to 7-days battery life, while the 46mm can last up to 14 days. The watches use wireless charging with Qi support, and can be fully recharged in just 85 minutes. 

Both watches include a ceramic back which has been designed to better fit your wrist and seat the new 8 Photodetector (PD) sensors on the back to more accurately measure your heart rate and other aspects of your health. 

The Watch GT 3 Pro, like the previous Watch GT 3 includes support for 100+ Workout Modes. Including the AI Running Coach which supports workout recovery and more. 

This more premium model also includes support for Golf, with the watch tracking your Swing Tempo and speed, as well as a new Diving mode which gives you a chance to try out the 5ATM Water resistance rating. The diving mode on the watch which includes depth information, to support your ascent with stats including ascend speed, historic dive record and intuitive alerts also included. 

Huawei Watch D

One of the big releases is the Huawei Watch D, their first device to support Blood Pressure Monitoring. 

The Watch D includes full support for blood pressure monitoring with no additional accessories required. The watch includes a dual-layer air bag and innovative mini pump to take your blood pressure wherever you are. 

In other markets, Huawei also offers ECG support on the Watch D but can’t offer it in Australia just yet. They’ve advised they are actively working to bring this feature to Australia, but we’ll hear more about that in the future.

The design of the watch is aimed at being both stylish and light, with a large full colour 456×280 resolution 1.64-inch AMOLED  display. There’s also IP68 dust/water resistance and GNSS positioning for tracking your workouts outdoors.

There’s dual buttons on the body of the Watch D, with a Home and Health function buttons, letting you access the home screen, apps or quickly jump to the Health screen for accessing features like blood pressure monitoring. 

Huawei includes both large and medium sized straps in the box, as well as spare air bags for blood pressure monitoring feature. Because of the importance of getting a good fit for accurate blood pressure reading, there’s a sizing guide in the box to help fit the strap correctly and comfortably. 

The Watch D also has a 2.5D curved glass rear which fits comfortably on your wrist. The Watch D also includes 8 PD sensors for heart rate and other health monitoring. 

Of course, all this is powered by a 451mAh battery which offers up to 7 days of use. 

Huawei Watch Fit 2

For those looking for a basic smart watch, the Huawei Watch Fit 2 offers a large, full colour, 1.74-inch AMOLED touch display encased in a durable polymer fiber case on the Active model, with a ‘Classic’ model featuring an aluminium case coming later.

The watch features a brand new interface offering fast access to your apps, though fans of the original app list can still choose to view their apps that way. There’s also over 200 watch faces to choose from, with loads of complications showing your health and other data. 

The Watch Fit 2 lets you connect a pair of bluetooth earbuds to the watch, with storage for up to 5,000 songs available. There’s also support for bluetooth calling as well. 

The watch includes support for SpO2, heart rate, sleep, and stress tracking, as well as a 5ATM water resistance rating and GPS sensor built-in to track your workouts outdoors. 

You’ll find the animated personal trainer is back, with the ability to offer warm up modes for up to 7 different workouts. You can also choose from another 97 workout modes for accurate tracking. 

The Health Management console lets you quickly check-in on your SpO2 monitoring which is checked throughout the day, as well as your heart-rate, step tracking, calories burned and more. As part of a wholistic approach to health, the Watch Fit 2 also uses the Healthy Living Shamrock, which takes into account your rest, and stress levels as well as your workouts. 

The Watch Fit 2 will be priced from $299 and comes in a range of colours including Sakrura Pink, Isle Blue and Midnight Black. The Classic edition will be available in Moon White when it launches.

Huawei Band 7

Huawei is also refreshing their fitness bands, with the new Band 7 now slimmer and lighter than the previous model. 

Launching in four fun colours, Wilderness Green, Nebula Pink, Flame Red and Graphite Black, the Band 7 includes a large 1.47-inch AMOLED always-on display with hundreds of watch faces to choose from, so you can tell the time quickly at a glance.

Featuring a battery life of up to 2 weeks of battery life,  the Band 7 also supports fast charging that can top you up to 2-days of use with just 5 minutes of charge. 

There’s support for up to 96 sport modes for tracking, but there’s no GPS on-board. There is all the usual step, sleep and stress tracking you’d expect as well as all-day SpO2, and heart rate monitoring .

The Huawei Band 7 will start from $159.
