JBL Have been building their soundbar range and the latest in the series is the JBL Bar 1300, announced overnight at CES.
The JBL Bar 1300 brings a movie theatre experience to your living room with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound with detachable wireless surround speakers. The speakers can be charged by attaching them to the main bar, or through a USB-C connection.
The 15-channel system (11.1.4) features up to 1170W power output and includes six up-firing drivers and a massive 10-inch sub woofer in addition to the rear wireless speakers to create an immersive experience.
The detachable battery-powered wireless surround sound speakers can be placed anywhere in the room to complete your surround sound, free from wires or power connections. You can also pair the speakers to any Bluetooth device to use them as standalone wireless speakers.
The audio experience is elevated with the integration of HARMAN’s PureVoice technology which optimises voice clarity when loud sound effects are heard so you can hear what’s happening over the background noise.
The system can be connected to WiFi and streaming music services through the JBL One app – available for iOS and Android – which can also help personalise your experience through the customisable EQ. The soundbar is also compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri, with support for AirPlay 2, Alexa MRM and Chromecast as well so you can stream audio from over 300 online music services to it.
The JBL Bar 1300 will be available from jbl.com in Europe for €1499 (around $2,330 AUD) from February 2023, though local availability and pricing for Australia has yet to be confirmed.
