The new range of battle ready Lenovo Legion desktops and laptops are almost ready for action, with Lenovo announcing the new 2023 range at CES. 

Kicking off the announcements are new AI-Tuned  Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 7 16-inch gaming laptops, as well as the Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 which also come with 16-inch displays, but push the gaming with up to 240Hz variable refresh rate. Lenovo has also announced new gaming desktops with the Legion Tower 7i and Tower 5i with Intel Core Processors, and the Lenovo Legion Tower 5 running AMD Ryzen processors. Last but not least is the new Lenovo Legion gaming monitor range with over-clockable 240Hz refresh rate.

Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 7

Lenovo has announced their new Legion Pro 7i (Intel) and Legion Pro 7 (AMD) gaming laptops running the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors, with options to include up to the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 Laptop GPUs as well as the RTX 4070. 

The laptops use the Lenovo LA AI chip to power their Lenovo AI Engine+ which can push performance on the hardware to provide the most optimised gaming experience with maximum frames per second in your favourite games. 

The laptops include the 16-inch PureSight Gaming Display with 16:10 aspect ratio and up to WQXGA 2560×1600 resolution with up to 240Hz refresh rate. There’s also the customisable  per-key RGB customizable lighting on the backlit TrueStrike keyboard, with an RGB LIghting bar at the front that reflects off the desk and co-ordinates with the keyboard.

As far as when you can get them, Lenovo Australia has advised that local pricing and availability is still to be confirmed.

Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5

Next up are the new Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (Intel) and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (AMD), ready for work or play with the latest 13th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors and options to run up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 also include the Lenovo LA AI chip to power their Lenovo AI Engine+ to dynamically monitor the CPU and GPU load to adjust heat management to optimise your experience.

The laptops include a metal top cover and a polymer bottom cover which will be available in either Onyx Grey or Abyss Blue and inside, the TrueStrike keyboard is available in either Spectrum 4-zone RGB or White LED backlighting for a more streamlined look.

Lenovo Australia has advised that they’re still sorting out the local pricing and availability, with more information to come.

Lenovo Legion Tower 7i, Legion Tower 5i and Legion Tower 5

For those after a desktop experience, the latest Lenovo Legion Tower 7i (Intel), Legion Tower 5i (Intel) and Legion Tower 5 (AMD) desktops offer the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors or  AMD Ryzen 9 7900 processors, with NVIDIA RTX 40 Series or AMD Radeon GPUs.

The Legion Tower 7i includes up to Core i9 Intel Processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs, and 5500. The Legion Tower 5i includes up to o 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900F processor and options to include up to Up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or up to AMD Radeon RX7500. Finally, the Legion Tower 5 utilises up to AMD Ryzen 9 7900 processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX7800X graphics. 

Those wanting the Legion Tower 7 can configure it with up to up to 64GB of 5600Mhz DDR5 RAM and up to 6TB (3x 2TB SSD) that can store over 1000 AAA titles locally, with a powerful 1200W PSU. The Legion 5 and Legion 5i can be configured with up to 32GB 5600Mhz DDR5 RAM, and up to 2x 1TB SSD all brought to life via an 850W 90% modular PSU.

The Legion 7i looks the part, with up to six ARGB fans with 3D patterned airflow-amplifying front bezel, and optional liquid cooling system and there’s also fully customizable Lenovo Legion 12-ARGB lighting effects visible through the tempered glass side panel. The Lenovo Legion 5i and Legion 5 are no slouches in the looks department though, with up to five ARGB lighting-equipped quiet fans which can shine through an optional toolless glass side panel.

Lenovo Australia is still confirming local availability and pricing on these new Legion Tower desktops, with more to come through the year.

Legion Y27f-30 and Y27qf-30 Monitors

If you already have your battle station and are looking for the latest and greatest gaming monitors from Lenovo to complete your setup, the new 27-inch Legion Y27f-30 and Y27qf-30 Monitors offer esport level performance resolutions, refresh rates, and response times with Eyesafe Certified 2.0 Natural Low Blue Light technology to help reduce eyestrain and maintain eye health.

The monitors come in FullHD (Y27f-30) and QHD (Y27qf-30) resolutions with VESA-certified HDR 400 brightness, and offer both AMD FreeSync Premium and Adaptive Sync support. 

The Lenovo Legion Y27qf-30 QHD monitor offers up to 2560×1440 resolution with a 0.5ms response time, and a 240Hz refresh rate overclockable to 250Hz. The Lenovo Legion Y27f-30 FHD includes 1920×1080 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate overclockable to 280Hz.
