Sony has announced a pair of new mid-range headphones offering both over-ear and on-ear options which includes Sony’s great audio tech.
The headliner is the over-ear WH-CH720N wireless headphones which offer up to 35 hours of battery life, and include Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor technology and Integrated V1 Processor – the same found in their WH- 1000XM5 headphones – and two microphones in each ear cup for improved noise cancelling.
These headphones will come in a choice of three colours: Blue, White and Black.
The cheaper option is the WH-CH520 wireless headphones which come in an on-ear form factor and though they don’t include noise cancelling, you will get up to 50 hours battery life. Designed to be worn all-day in comfort, the headphones include a padded headband and soft earpads to help you find a comfortable fit, they also include enhanced call performance.
Sony will offer these in four colour options: Black, Blue, Cream and white.
Both headphones include Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) which will produce high-quality sound exactly as the artist intended says Sony, as well as Multipoint connection for easy connectivity between devices.
The WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 can also be personalised in terms of audio performance, with the Sony | Headphones Connect app – available for iOS and Android – offering an equaliser to customise your experience.
Sony says the headphones are designed with the environment in mind, with no plastic used in the packaging of either headphones – and both headphones use recycled material in their construction.
The WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 will be available in Australia from early March. The WH-CH720N will be priced from $259.95 AUD, while the WH-CH520 will be on-sale from $99.95 AUD.
