Christmas Gift Ideas for Dad

Good luck shopping for Dad this Christmas. Let me tell you he’ll be happy with his favourite meal and a sleep in – but if you must put something under the tree, here’s a bunch of options.

Here are all our Gift Guides for 2023 – find something for anyone in your life right here at EFTM:

Smart Glasses

This is the hottest new thing out there. The RayBan Meta smart glasses at OPSM are $449 and Dad can snap photos, take videos, all from his glasses.

I’ve been wearing them for a week now and they are awesome, a real step up from the first generation stories, and there’s scope for far more as Meta roll out their AI and other features.

A Drone

You can’t go past DJI when it comes to drones, and your first drone should be a Mini. Under 250g so you can fly it in more places, and really easy to fly.

Honestly, just get the Mini 2 SE – it’s just $499 at JB – and while it’s a generation old, it will do what he wants on holidays or wherever you choose to fly.

Just make sure you get him to read and watch instructions about the rules of flying a drone.

A 3D Printer

If Dad is creative, perhaps crafty, then a 3D Printer is an awesome gift.

We recently looked at the AnkerMake M5C here’s Daniel’s review – and the thing is you can just download items online to print, you don’t have to be full on into the software to actually make your own things.

Fun way to make a Chess set, or toys, maybe even replacement parts for things around the house.

Lego!

If he doesn’t have LEGO, he’ll love it. If he has LEGO, he’ll love more of it.

Your best bet at this stage is to head to somewhere like KMart, Myer, The Gamesmen or just a LEGO store and find the thing in his niche.

I love the architecture stuff, the cars and the models like the Typewriter etc.

But there’s something out there for Dad – trust me.

JBL Speaker

Dad loves music, Trust me – just might not be the music you like too!

Sure you can get a Bluetooth speaker – but why not take it one step further and get a stunning speaker like the new JBL Authentics:

They start at $499 for the Authentics 200, but I think the sweet spot is the Authentics 300 because it’s also portable.

Great design, amazing sound, and Google and Alexa work together in one speaker!

Streaming Subscription

Now vouchers normally are lame, but when you can pick a specific way that “money” is spent it has more thought to it.

So for example, if your mate has Stan and loves it, get him a voucher – this will extend their subscription or at the very least save him money

If they are new, its an introduction to a world of new content!

And – you can get physical cards at supermarkets, or buy online for the ultimate last minute gift!

The other great option here is Kayo Sports – every Dad has a favourite sport, so why can’t he watch it live – Cricket, NRL, AFL, F1 you name it! Kayo has it.

Air Fryer

Listen to me, Dad will LOVE an Air Fryer. Chips, Schnitzels, Nuggets, whatever creation he can think of – it’s a kitchen and dinner prep game-changer.

Aim for the bigger ones, so you can do more – the Philips XXL is well regarded and won’t let you down! Found it for $349 at The Good Guys

More Power!

The NRGVault is a portable power station with the latest battery technology and a massive 288Wh battery. You can recharge 7 things at at time, and the unit itself recharges to 85% in just 90 minutes. It’s $499 but great for camping or emergency power over Summer!
