Netgear continues it’s roll-out of WiFi 7 networking product with the launch today of three new solutions for great in-home WiFi.
The three products bring a new affordability to WiFi 7, with the Nighthawk RS200 retailing for just $499.
“WiFi 7 represents a monumental leap forward in wireless technology, and adoption has quickly picked up momentum with more and more WiFi 7 devices coming to market, including the recently announced iPhone 16,” said David Henry, president and GM of Connected Home Products and Services at NETGEAR.
“NETGEAR’s latest Nighthawk RS600 and RS200 routers, and the Orbi 770 mesh system give more households access to the connectivity benefits of WiFi 7 while also delivering robust network security to protect their homes and digital lives.”
WiFi 7 is the latest generation WiFi technology offering speeds 2.4 times faster than WiFi 6 enabling networks to cope with the growing demands of modern gadgets and technology.
Topping out the new range is a new WiFi 7 Mesh system – the Orbi 770 Tri-Band, which promises potential networking speeds up to 11Gbps and connecting up to 100 devices across 540 square meters on the three-pack (Router and two satellites).
Orbi 770 combines the 5GHz and 6Ghz bands for both the connected devices and backhaul, while the WAN/Internet port is capable of 2.5Gig, ready for the next generation NBN speeds coming soon.
This new Orbi system has a slimline cylindrical shape, more rounded than the 970 series for a more sleek look, designes to be on any desk or shelf in your home.
Inside are four high-performance antennas with amplifiers offering 360 degree coverage.
Orbi 770 also has a nifty little preamble on the WiFi to selectively block interference and offer a more stable connection.
