Google announced their support for location tags a while ago now, and we have seen Motorola release their moto tags elsewhere, and now it has finally landed in Australia.

The new moto tag allows you to track any valuables it is attached to with your Android smartphone that supports Bluetooth Low Energy and supports Android 9.0 and up. Not only does the Moto tag support BLE, but it also uses Google’s Find My Device network to give you a precise real-time location of the missing device anywhere in the world.

“Our focus remains on bringing value through our entire portfolio by innovating to solve customer pain points. The expansion of Motorola’s ecosystem and the release of moto tag is a testament to this, being compatible with any Android device, whether a Motorola phone or not.”

Head of Motorola, Greater Asia Pacific, Kurt Bonnici

The moto tag features a simple, stylish design and easily attaches to your valuables. Not only is setup simple and easy, but the moto tag is protected by end-to-end encryption on Google’s trusted network, so all your tracking is private.

Offering a year of battery life with an easily replaced universal battery, the moto tag is IP67-rated to protect it from dust, dirt and water damage.

The moto tags are available exclusively at Harvey Norman in Jade Green and Starlight Blue colours. The moto tags are available to purchase in a single pack (RRP $55) and a 4-pack (RRP $179).
