At CES 2025 Dell has announced that they are revamping their entire PC lineup this year with all former names gone and a new, simplified naming scheme introduced.

Dell has eliminated the XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, and Precision naming schemes and replaced them with Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max. In addition to introducing new PC and laptop designs, Dell has introduced new names to help customers make technology choices.

The three new categories help customers find the right technology for their needs:

  • Dell: Designed for play, school and work.
  • Dell Pro: Designed for professional-grade productivity.
  • Dell Pro Max: Designed for maximum performance.

This year’s release reveals a new AI PC portfolio built for everyone, from a slim laptop to a powerful workstation, based on the naming scheme and categories listed above. Within each category, there is a Base model, a Plus model offering improved performance, and a Premium tier delivering the ultimate in design and performance.

The new laptops include:

Dell Pro 13/14 Premium

This Copilot+ laptop is a light, powerful laptop that offers performance and portability on the go. As you may have expected, it is available in 13- and 14-inch display sizes and is the slimmest and lightest of the Pro models.

The improved performance translates to performance increases of 36% in multithread, 19% in single-thread, 82% in graphics rendering8, and 3.5 times faster AI than the previous generation.

The Dell Pro 14 Premium is also the first commercial notebook with a Tandem OLED display. The new display is 24% more power efficient and 49% lighter than traditional LED displays, resulting in an extremely light laptop with a bright, vibrant display.

Dell Pro 13/14/16 Plus

This business-oriented laptop offers scalability to provide satisfactory performance for every user.  Available in many configurations, form factors (laptop and 2-in-1) and display sizes, it offers a minimalistic design that is also durable and sustainable.

It is available with USB, HDMI and Thunderbolt port options plus 5G and Wi-Fi 7 to provide optimal connectivity wherever you are working.

Dell Pro Max Desktops

The new Dell Pro desktops are available in micro, slim, and tower form factors and offer  Intel Core Ultra (Series 2, U SKUs) and AMD Ryzen processor options.  These new desktops are the first commercial desktops from Dell to include NPUs to offer AI-optimised performance and energy efficiency to PC users.

Dell 14/16 Plus

The Dell Plus laptops are designed for the user who needs multitasking without the high end performance of the premium category.  These are available in both clamshell and 2-in-1 designs and include Copilot+ capabilities thanks to Intel Core Ultra (Series 2, V SKUs) processors.
