In what could take the award for the creepiest product to be unveiled at CES 2025, we found the SoulCube – a holographic memorial device that promises to bring your deceased pets back to life. Well, sort of.

Just when you thought technology couldn’t get more unsettling, SoulCube introduces what they’re calling a “three-step process” to resurrect your beloved pet in holographic form. It’s like taxidermy met AI and had a cyberpunk baby.

The process goes something like this:

  1. Feed your pet’s photos into their AI system (think of it as a really gothic Instagram filter)
  2. Watch as algorithms create a 3D ghost of your beloved pet
  3. Your pet’s “soul” gets transferred into a high-tech cube

While it’s easy to crack jokes about digital pet zombies, there’s a genuine attempt here to address the very real pain of losing a pet. The company positions SoulCube as a therapeutic tool, particularly for children struggling with pet loss. It’s meant to provide a high-tech form of comfort, allowing families to maintain a connection with their former pet.

While it’s easy to dismiss as creepy (because, let’s face it, it is), there’s something touchingly human about using cutting-edge technology to hold onto those pets we’ve lost.
