Demand for home workout equipment is on the rise and we got a first look at the Speediance Gym Monster 2 at the Unveiled event at CES2025. The Gym Monster 2 is the upgraded version of the original Gym Monster. It’s entirely freestanding and packs about 100kg of resistance using their digital weight system. I had the opportunity to try out the Gym Monster 2 at the Unveiled event at CES2025 and while 100kg isn’t a lot of weight for those that are serious about lifting weights, it’s a great entry level option or something to keep the body moving when time prevents visiting the gym.

The design is compact, smart, and stylish and wouldn’t look out of place in your loungeroom or even the garage. The machine allows you to perform a variety of exercises using four different modes, with each mode designed to provide a resistance consistent with the type of training you are engaged in.

The in-built 21.5 inch FHD touch screen provides a whole raft of features such as fitness programs and an AI Coach that learns your preferences and workout habits. It is the touch screen that controls the entire operation, from browsing the exercises, adjusting weight and tracking reps.

What I really liked about the product was the available accessories which really do provide a full-body workout. There is a barbell for the bigger compound exercises as well as ropes and handles for the smaller accessory movements.
