DIY leader Cricut has announced it’s latest smart cutting machines today with an enhanced purchase experience with more in the box, and faster speeds from both machines.

Ashish Arora, the CEO of Cricut says “Cricut Maker 4 and Cricut Explore 4 are designed to give our creative community more of what they’ve been asking for,”

“We’ve added even greater value to each machine by including tools and materials to help creatives get started right out of the box. Our new machines coupled with improvements in our Design Space platform will empower everyone to make projects easily for their loved ones.”

If you’ve no idea what a Cricut is, you’re living under a rock – the Cricut in our house gets a weekly workout with vinyl cut letters, names, logos and goodness knows what else enhancing gifts to make them more meaningful with personalisation.

Critical to these new machines is what’s in the box. The machines will now come with a starter pack, including Vinyl, Cards, Iron-on and also transfer tape, along with a few essential tools and a machine mat.

Basically, you can get a bunch of projects done without having to head to Harvey Norman or Spotlight for supplies.

Both machines have faster cutting speeds, up to double the speed of the previous models making those projects happen even faster, though nothing can make the weeding and placement any faster – perhaps use the time saved to do that even better.

What you get in the box!

Cricut has also announced improvements to their software “Cricut Design Space” to make it more intuitive and easier to use.

I’ll be the judge of that:)

The new Cricut Explore 4 retails for $499, and the new Maker 4 is $699.
