The incident occurred in one of its contact centres where unusual activity was detected on Monday within a third party customer database platform used by the contact centre.
Qantas say they contained the system, but that there are 6 million customer records on that platform and while the full impact of the breach is not yet known, Qantas say they “expect it will be significant”
