Getting exercise and learning as you go doesn’t need to be away from a screen.
Coming next month, educational toy manufacturer VTech Electronics under the brand LeapFrog is bringing something different to the market. LeapMove is a one-of-a-kind gaming device that creates an immersive experience and utilises full body gameplay.
Real-time body tracking allows kids to use their body to control the play.
In fact they transform into one of three main characters and get to experience seeing themselves on the big screen.
Kids can jump, dodge, catch and even fly in one of the 25 pre-loaded games that strengthen their skills in
The games offer three levels to suit students from preschool through to primary level.
“Passive screen time isn’t great for kids, so instead LeapMove gets children moving, turning every jump, twist, and twirl into a chance to learn,” explains Maud Rocher, Marketing Director at VTech Electronic Australia. “It’s more than just play — it’s a fresh way to help kids grow and explore through movement”
Crucially the LeapMove console operates without an internet connection, so gameplay works within the confines of the device, ensuring kids and data remain safe. Parents also have the ability to enforce time limits.
LeapMove will be available from August at Big W, Target, Myer, good toy stores & online retailers at an RRP of $129.95
