After announcing the update in May, the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) update for Google’s Find My Device Network has begun rolling out, with the Motorola Moto Tag the first to benefit.
The UWB update adds in a much more accurate tracking function for devices that support it. UWB support builds on the general location ability of Bluetooth, adding in extremely accurate distance and direction information.
To get the new UI, you’ll need to update the existing 2.0.69 firmware in the Moto Tag app to version 2.0.104 – simply tap the More button then tap on the firmware version.

Once connected you’ll get a new UI in the Find Hub, offering the usual glowing orb before switching to a directional arrow with measurements as you get closer.

This latest update really adds a new layer of functionality, and if your phone supports UWB, the Moto Tag just became the must get tracker for anyone wanting a tag using the Google Find My network.
