Fetch TV expands it’s line-up and adds Crunchyroll streaming app

Fetch customers who subscribe to their Ultimate Pack awoke to a 6 channel bonus today as the Aussie technology company added 2 video and 4 music channels to their lineup.

The first of the video channels is Moonbug which features kids favourites such as CoComelon, Blippi and Little Angel and will be ad-free. Fetch describes Moonbug as “a safe, ad-free environment where kids can enjoy fun and educational content, giving parents peace of mind about what their children are watching

“We’re thrilled to be bringing the very first Moonbug Channel to Australia. Partnering with Fetch TV makes it possible for us to share the fun, music and stories that kids already love with even more families across the country. We can’t wait for Australian parents and children to enjoy these shows together for the very first time,” said Nicolas Eglau, Managing Director EMEA, APAC & Global Distribution at Moonbug Entertainment.

Declassified is a factual video channel available for the first time in this country. It will explore warfare, military strategy, intelligence and history.

“Declassified goes behind the headlines to uncover the stories of warfare, intelligence, and history that have shaped our world. We’re excited to bring this compelling and premium content to Australian audiences on Fetch,” Jon Penn, Managing Director APAC – Blue Ant Media.

Rounding out the 6 channel offering are 4 genre options available under the existing  Stingray Music banner.

They are

  • Stingray Loud
  • Stingray Retro
  • Stingray Country
  • Stingray Hits

which they promise will provide everything from Rock anthems, nostalgic throwbacks, country vibes and chart-topping hits.

Today’s announcement also introduces the Crunchyroll app. Crunchyroll is a global anime brand and now their content will be available via subscription on the Fetch platform. The streaming service boasts an online library of over 39,000 episodes across 1,600 anime titles. Customers will pay $10. 99 per month for the “Fan” level commitment, ad-free with a single streaming device at a time or can upgrade to the “MegaFan” level for an additional $3.00 per month. That will allow offline viewing, the ability to stream on up to 4 devices and a discount for an upfront annual payment.

“Australian audiences can now experience and enjoy the Crunchyroll streaming service directly on their TV screen, integrated into the Fetch UX. This is a significant milestone for us and an exciting addition for our subscribers particularly the growing number of anime fans in Australia,” said Fetch TV CEO, Dominic Arena.

All 6 channels and Crunchyroll are available now on Fetch boxes. More information can be found at Fetch TV
