Airtasker are offering a unique opportunity to create an F1 helmet, to be worn by the Visa Cash App Racing Bull pit crew.
The emergence of the gig economy is something that not a lot of people saw coming. As we outsource so many everyday tasks to those with more expertise than ourselves, a new initiative from the young drivers of the VCARB team is an interesting approach to finding something they need. A new helmet design for the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix, to be worn by their pit crew.
Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar have posted a task in popular Aussie outsourcing site Airtasker for someone to design a new helmet for the upcoming race to be held in Qatar in December. There is $1,000 on the table but the real appeal will be the chance to have your design seen by over 50 million people worldwide.
The brief is quite open but in the words of Isack Hadjar it has to be “big, bold, and badass”
To feature in their online presence and also have helmets of your design worn by the pit crew is a money can’t buy opportunity.
Isack has just recently become the youngest podium finisher in Formula One history with his 3rd place in Zandvort at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix behind Max Verstappen and Aussie Oscar Piastri and together with Liam Lawson the two are prolific content creators.
The drivers will personally pick the winner with concepts required to be submitted by Tuesday 30 September.
The VCARB boys are currently examining submissions to date and even giving feedback. Liam, 23, says, “Our pit crew has been crushing it. They’re the heartbeat of everything we do, so we want something as legendary as they are.”
To date over 100 concepts have been put forward. From those featuring mirrored chrome with spikes to those with fluro horns and others raising awareness to such causes as men’s health.
